Hunting months: July, August, September. October and November are also possible, but you need to check the dates, because there is a big rush of other hunts. 2 hunters can come, maximum 3, but they will hunt separately. The number of days is up to you… I recommend 3 days, maybe even 1 week.

Finnish forest reindeer (Rangifer Tarandus Fennicus) is the most rare reindeer species.
The weight of males, or bulls, is 70–170 kg, and females, or cows, 40–100 kg. Body length is 180–220 cm. Shoulder height is 90–120 cm. The entire population lives in Finland,
and only small numbers of individuals are found in Russian Karelia. The size of the Finnish population is only about 2,000 individuals, and hunting permits for males are
issued at only about 10 per year. The forest reindeer population is declining due to the growing predator population, and the number of permits will continue to decrease.
Our hunting area is located in Ostrobothnia and the hunts are conducted in Finnish forests, on bogs, and in fields, either by standing in a hide or by stalking. The hunts are
not physically very demanding, so this suits a hunter with basic fitness. We recommend reserving all four days for hunting to ensure sufficient opportunities to catch game.
Hunting days start early in the morning and end late in the evening. Hunter will be accompanied by 1-3 local guide and 1 designated hunt leader. The guides help in
searching for a big male.
